Correction has to come first
A ceramic coating is transparent and it cures over whatever is underneath it. Apply one to swirled paint and you have sealed the swirls in for the life of the coating, typically for years. This is the single most common and most expensive mistake in the industry.
So the sequence is: assess, decontaminate, correct, panel-wipe to strip polishing oils, then coat. Skipping the panel wipe means the coating bonds to residue rather than to paint, which is why some coatings fail within months while the same product on the next car lasts years.
The four we fit, and who each suits
Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra is the flagship, and the clearest illustration of why accreditation exists. It is not sold to the public at all; Gtechniq releases it only to installers they have trained. Hardest cure, best gloss retention. For a car you intend to keep.
System X gets applied through a certified network, with the warranty registered in the owner’s name. Worth knowing that System X state it cannot be transferred to a new owner, and that annual inspections by an approved applicator are required to keep it valid.
Ethos Graphene uses graphene chemistry on the same principle. What owners notice is less water spotting and better heat dissipation across the panel, which matters on a dark car parked outside through a Sydney summer.
Magnum is Australian-made, and we are an authorised Magnum detailer, which is what makes their longest guarantees available. The range runs from a one-year ceramic up to Obsidian S1+ graphene at 9H with a seven year guarantee, and Luminous X at ten. Both long terms require annual inspections. Same preparation underneath either way; what changes is hardness, durability and warranty.
What a coating will not do
It will not stop a stone chip. A coating is measured in microns and handles chemical attack, UV and washing, but not physical impact. Anyone telling you otherwise is overselling.
It does not make the car self-cleaning, and it does not survive automatic brush washes. The washing that follows determines lifespan more than the product does.

How dark can I go on tint?
That depends on the car and the look you are after. Rayno Phantom runs from a light film you would struggle to notice through to limousine dark, and the front and the rear are usually specified separately. Factory glass already carries some tint and it combines with the film, so we hold samples against your own glass so you can see the shade on the car before anything is cut.
