Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Custom Automotive Detailing (ABN 13 662 477 429, ACN 662 477 429) of 75 Sproule St, Lakemba NSW 2195 collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect what you give us. If you send an enquiry through this website, the form asks for:

• Your first and last name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Your vehicle and its colour
• The service you are interested in
• How you heard about us
• Any notes you choose to add

Our form software also records the IP address the enquiry was sent from, as a basic anti-spam measure. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) as part of running and securing the site.

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they read, and roughly where they came from (a search engine, a link, or typing the address directly). It also records when an enquiry form is submitted successfully, so we can tell which pages bring in work. Google Analytics does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles or to follow you around other websites.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, quote your job, book your vehicle in, and contact you about the work. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Who else can see it

• Our web host. The site and its enquiry records are hosted on infrastructure provided by Hostinger.
• Google. We use Google Analytics, so your visit is recorded by Google on our behalf. Google receives your IP address (which it shortens before storing), your browser and device type, the pages you viewed, and the site or search that sent you here. Our reviews section also displays public Google reviews, and reviewer profile images are loaded from Google’s servers, so your browser contacts Google when you view those sections. Google’s own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not send Google your name, email address, phone number or any detail you type into an enquiry form.
• Nobody else, unless we are required to disclose information by law.

Cookies

This site uses a caching cookie to serve pages faster, and Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one. Those expire after two years. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout; the site will still work.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while they are useful for quoting, servicing and warranty purposes, and are deleted when they are not. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email admin@cadetailing.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first at admin@cadetailing.com.au so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
