What a full detail actually includes

Exterior. Pre-rinse and foam to lift loose grit before anything touches the paint. Contact wash with clean media and two buckets. Chemical decontamination for embedded iron fallout and tar. The orange bleeding you see on light-coloured cars is brake dust that has physically embedded in the clear coat, and no wash removes it. Then a clay stage for whatever is still bonded.
Wheels and arches. Faces, barrels and arches, with separate equipment from the paintwork so brake dust never crosses over. Wheels can come off for a genuine full clean.
Interior. Full vacuum including under seats and rails, hot water extraction for carpets and fabric, steam for vents and switchgear, leather cleaned and conditioned with pH-appropriate product, never a silicone gloss.
Finish. Glass, trim and shuts, then protection: a sealant, or step up to a coating.
Why the cheap version costs more
A $150 ‘full detail’ skips decontamination and claying, because those stages are slow and invisible in photos. Washing a contaminated car and then machine polishing it grinds that contamination across the panel, which is how cars come back from cheap details with more swirls than they went in with.
That damage is not cosmetic in the trivial sense. Correcting it later means removing clear coat, and clear coat is finite. The cheap detail costs you the expensive one.
Pre-sale detailing

How dark can I go on tint?
That depends on the car and the look you are after. Rayno Phantom runs from a light film you would struggle to notice through to limousine dark, and the front and the rear are usually specified separately. Factory glass already carries some tint and it combines with the film, so we hold samples against your own glass so you can see the shade on the car before anything is cut.

How long will you need my car?
