What the registration actually gives you
System X is applied through an approved installer network and the warranty is registered against the job at the time of application. That gives you a documented record of what was applied, by whom and when, which is more than most coatings come with.
There are two conditions worth understanding before you choose it, because they are easy to assume your way past.
It does not transfer. System X state the warranty is registered in the name of the vehicle owner and cannot be transferred to a new owner. If you sell the car, the cover does not go with it.
It requires annual inspections. Those must be carried out by an approved applicator within thirty days either side of the anniversary of the last service. Miss that window and the cover lapses.
Who that suits
Someone keeping the car and willing to bring it back once a year. If that describes you, the inspection requirement is a feature rather than a hurdle: it means somebody looks at the coating annually and catches a problem while it is still small.
It suits less well if you are the sort of owner who will not remember, or if you expect to sell within a couple of years and were counting on the warranty adding to the sale.
We would rather set that expectation now than have you discover it at handover.
What it does on the paint
A strong all-rounder. Chemical and UV resistance, easier washing, real depth on corrected paint, and the hydrophobic behaviour that makes a car shed water rather than hold it in sheets that dry into spots.
Only approved applicators may apply, reapply or repair the coating, which matters if the car is ever panel repaired. A body shop respraying a door will not be able to reinstate the coating on that panel, so it needs to come back to someone certified.
Correction first, as always
Same rule as every coating we fit. It cures over whatever is underneath, so swirls left in the paint are sealed in for the life of the product.
Paint correction comes first, then a panel wipe to strip polishing oils so the coating bonds to bare paint rather than residue. Skipping that step is the most common reason a coating fails early.
Common questions
Does the System X warranty transfer if I sell the car?
No. System X state the warranty is registered in the name of the vehicle owner and cannot be transferred. If reselling with documented protection matters to you, factor that in before choosing it.
